Cobblestone Farm Retreat

What a delightful experience we had at Cobblestone Farm recently! We wanted a two-day getaway out in the country to enjoy some snowshoeing, beautiful scenery, relaxation and good food and Cobblestone certainly fit the bill! This lovingly restored but authentic farmhouse rests on a mid-sized farm property just outside of Cobourg, so we were able to enjoy some great dining, cafes and browsing in nearby Cobourg and Port Hope, as well as all the scenic tranquility of the farm, countryside and forests. Our host, Sam, spoiled us with her amazing breakfasts, afternoon tea, lots of local recommendations and a welcoming ease that made us feel right at home. Even the dogs are relaxed! This was such a treat - - skip the cottage and go to Cobblestone Farm instead!

What a fantastic week at Cobblestone Farm! We went with a family group of 6 adults and had the place to ourselves. There was so much space we never felt on top of each other, there was everything you could possibly need in the farm, it felt so homely, and the outside space was great for relaxing. We came away so relaxed it was amazing!And Sam was great - even when we left something at the end of the week she was great and helped us get it back. Could not recommend this place enough. Only thing to note is that there isn't any public transport nearby so you really need a car to get to and from the farm.

Cobblestone Farm is an idyllic and comfortable haven from the daily grind. Everything you might need or want during your stay is provided, from reading material to a well-stocked tea and coffee station. The space is bright, clean, and inviting, including lots of outdoor space to relax. And Sam is an excellent and generous host, who makes you feel like you are in your own home instead of hers. I am already looking forward to my next stay!

Restorative, quaint and farm fresh! Cobblestone Farm Retreat offers quite a special experience. Sam's home is warm and welcoming. She's an amazing chef! Her property is great for walking and cross country skiing. The farm's proximity to Fieldstone Spa adds to the experience of rest and relaxation. Sam is an phenomenal host. We rented Cobblestone for a wedding weekend. We didn’t have the ceremony or reception there but the bridal party stayed both nights. We had the rehearsal dinner on the Friday night and the girls got ready there on the Saturday. The whole bridal party celebrated there after the wedding at the Mill. . Everyone was blown away by the farmhouse itself and it’s beautiful surroundings! Lovely deck that looks out over country fields! The kitchen is very modern and fully equipped for any kind of baking or cooking. The bedrooms are cozy! Everything is beautifully styled and neat as a pin!!Sam is extremely easy to work with and very flexible. After our first date was cancelled because of COVID she worked her magic and had someone switch their dates so we could have the Oct. 2nd time. My now daughter in law was thrilled!All in all, a terrific experience...I highly recommend!!I think that with a tent (for weather reasons)you could easily have the whole wedding there!

We hosted a surprise birthday/anniversary party for great friends. Their family arrived from out of town one day prior to set everything up. The home is perfect for a family gathering. Its warm and inviting with plenty of space. The kitchen is fantastic and an absolute pleasure to work in. The outdoor space offers beautiful country views and lovely gardens in every direction. The property offers a wonderful and welcoming retreat, with beautiful linens and special touches you would find in a luxury hotel. Highly recommend Cobblestone Farm Retreat!

Cobblestone is such a great local find! We enjoyed a beautiful staycation from Cobourg for the weekend. Sam is so wonderful, fun to chat with and one heck of a cook! The farm is clean, safe, well maintained, lots of property to walk around and enjoy the scenery. We will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone for a romantic getaway or for a full blown family vacation.

Cobblestone farm is a great time for a getaway. We had a girls wknd away at the farm with 7 of us. It was spacious, cozy and the perfect location, with beautiful views. The kitchen is wonderful and fully stocked with everything you may need to cook. Sam, the host is wonderful to deal with. Very responsive and accommodating. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a farm house getaway to book this place!

Sam is one of those people that you instantly trust and know that she is genuinely there to support. Wonderful WeekendA friend and I just had an amazing time at Sam’s farm in the hills. The hospitality was top notch. The food was excellent and the accommodations were great. We were warm and very comfortable during our stay. The house is beautiful. The surrounding farmland is lovely. The farm is close to the town and beach. We also visited Fieldstone Spa which is just a quick drive down the road. We had dinner at Cucina Urbana in town. Both places were awesome. The staff at both places were amazing and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Try The Angry Pizza for something delicious and different. We had an excellent weekend filled with comfort, hospitality and great food. The icing on the cake were Sam’s two dogs - Marley and Tessa. Her friendly dogs kept us company during our stay. A home away from home I highly recommend.
